ICCC-Young Professional's Networking Event 'Meet & Greet'

Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional Committee organised its first networking event ‘Meet & Greet’ on 26 November 2014 in Brampton. The event provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to network and discussion about their future plans to grow their career, professional and business endeavours.
Mr. Sameer Sharma, Chair, Young Professionals Committee welcomed all the guests and informed the purpose of committee was to help achieve the twin objectives of ICCC, by involvement of young Indo Canadians in the entrepreneurial activities of the chamber. He informed to host events such as "Chai with CEO" and career fairs.
Dharma P Jain, President of ICCC appreciated the committee’s initiative and congratulated them for the successful event. He also throws light on the ICCC’s objectives as how the 37 year’s old chamber is working for the growth of Canada India bilateral trade ties and other ICCC activities. He spoke how networking events like this was important for young professionals for making new friends, looking for new ideas, career change etc. He also briefly spoke about the chamber’s upcoming India Mission 2015.
Mr. Tony Chawla, Vice President of the chamber informed the upcoming mega event of the chamber ‘Winter Gala 2014’. He said that the event is annual and attracts over 500 guests from different walks of life which includes political personalities, eminent Indo Canadians, government decision makers etc.
The event was attended by over 50 young professionals. The event presented the perfect avenue for young professionals to meet each other and discuss the experiences they face as they begin their working careers. Most attendees look forward to joining the chamber as well as attending the next set of events hosted by the new Young Professionals Committee.
