As you are aware, Canada-India economic and trade ties are on an upward trajectory. The two countries have pledged to increase two-way trade to $15 billion by 2015, and are at present negotiating a free trade agreement. ICCC has played a pivotal role in enhancing this positive relationship between Indian and Canadian business leaders and governments.
And now you can play a pivotal role as well.
Because of your position of influence in Canadian business, I'm writing you today to invite you to take part in an important upcoming event:
The Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce’s India Trade Mission, which will take place from January 4 through January 18, 2014. This annual trade mission to India presents an opportunity that no serious business person can afford to miss. This is the opportunity to network one-on-one and create lasting business relationships with your peers from across the globe.
Working together, you'll further develop the ideas and concepts that will lead to increased business for your company and for our economies as a whole. Here you'll explore business opportunities such as partnerships and joint ventures, explore investment opportunities, or simply gain new customers.
This is also an opportunity of a lifetime for those who work in or work with local municipalities, provincial, and Federal government. In no other travel venue would you have the chance to network one-on-one with India's high level government officials and top politicians.
In each of the seven cities we'll visit, the Mission will be working with the local chambers of commerce and industry associations. Our activities will include B2B meetings, roundtable business conferences, and networking events.
The Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce will also arrange for a briefing session by trade commissioners of the Canadian High Commission in India, and arrange meetings with key decision makers in different states. We'll learn about investment benefits, climate of the Indian economy, and terms/conditions/rules and regulations involved in doing business in India.
We'll also have the opportunity to attend a reception at the Canadian High Commission. The Mission’s participants will have the choice to attend the *Pravasi Bharatiya Divas* (PBD).
And of course, in addition to business opportunities, you'll have the opportunity to visit and explore incredible India. The Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce’s India Trade Mission 2014 will visit Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Delhi, Ludhiana, Mumbai & Pune. And as a participant you will have a choice. You will be welcome to join us for the entire two weeks, or to join us in any of the cities along our route.
